Audrey Scott's Bio
Audrey was born in Birmingham to Jamaican parents and moved to London when she was 12 years old. Audrey sang both in the church and school choirs & also performed a little drama while living in Birmingham.
Audrey's interest in music began at an early age where she'd sing along to Millie Smalls 'My Boy Lollipop' with her elder siblings, who were also musically minded. Her interest in music developed more while at college where she met Janette Edwards, who was singing with a band at the time and Janette introduced Audrey to the keyboard player Noel (aka Fish) Salmon, and from then on they became friends and Fish along with Lloyd (saxon) went on to help form 'The Sadonians' & pen their songs:

1979/80 - Goodbye My Love - Produced by John Rubie - Freedom Sounds
1980 - Disappointments - Produced by John Rubie - Freedom Sounds Record Label.
The Sadonians recorded one more song 'In Our Hearts' but it was not released, it was after this recording that the group split and went their separate ways in 1980. Audrey continued singing Solo as well as with various bands: Riddim Squad, Together Band, Reggae Vibes & The Mellow Mix Band, performing at clubs, festivals, dances, wine bars, and weddings.
In the early 90's, Audrey met a Producer who was interested in producing an album with her and 'Step By Step' was released on Prestige Records in 1994 with the Heptones providing backing vocals. Lindel Lewis, Elroy Bailey, Sly Dunbar, Alan Weekes, Steely Johnson - musicians. Audrey also provided backing vocals on Anthony Johnson's 'Together' album. The song 'Brandy', from the album was released in Jamaica.
In 1998 Audrey began performing again as a 'Lover's Rock' Singer, the first show @ York Hall with the late great 'Louisa Marks' (R.I.P), Jean Binta Breeze, Felicity Ethnic and many more for The Windrush Anniversary.
Audrey has been working and touring England with various promoters: Orlando Gittens, Sir Lloyd, Bagga John & Mikey Koos, with the 'Lover's Rock' fraternity, performing at The O2 London, Jazz Café, The Ocean, Hackney Empire, The Tower Ballroom in Birmingham, Festival Hall - Croydon & Hammersmith Apollo with artistes such as: Carroll Thompson, Janet Kay, Sandra Cross, Sylvia Tella, Michael Gordon, Trevor Walters, Barry Biggs, Barry Boom, Lloyd Brown, Susan Cadogan, Winston Reedy, Vivian Jones, Joy Mack, Peter Hunnigale, Tradition, Al Campbell, Toyin Adekale, plus many more.
Audrey worked with Roots Artistes such as Sista Aisha, Mad Professor, Dr. Alimantado, Black Slate, Mighty Diamonds, Joy Mack, Afrikan Simba, Solo Banto, Papa Levi, Mutabaruka, Ruff Cut Band to name a few. She went to Greece twice while working with Mad Professor, recently Audrey performed at The One Love Concert with The Riddim Squad Band, appearing alongside Julian Marley and Luciano.
Audrey has made several appearance at The Lover's Rock Lounge, run by Carroll Thompson and has had the honour of working with Omar, Kwest, Paul Dawkins, Black Slate, Sista Ika (Sister Love) & Joy Mack.
Audrey has been working with Afrikan Simba on Goodly Words & Role Model - Government Empire - Silent Whispers, @ The Arch Brixton, Leyton football Club and Visions - Lions in audience with the Lioness, working with Nerious Joseph, Lioness Fonts, Sylvia Tella, Joy Mack, Kandake, Ras Kinah among others.
Early in 2010 she performed twice at the Hootananny with Earth Defender Band alongside, Christine Joy White, Rohan Irie, J'marie & Incient Angel among others. Also providing backing vocals for Lovella Ellis for her show later on in the same year.
In Celebration Of My Sisters was an ambition fulfilled when Audrey sang at The Festival Hall in Croydon with Queen Afua headlining. The night before She sang at The Excelsior for Tony Williams.

In the meantime Audrey has been providing backing vocals for Nerious Joseph's current album.
